Analytics

Analytics are key to understanding if your site is achieving its goals, and provide insight as to how users interact with your web property. They are an important guide when redesigning a site or just making incremental improvements, and should be implemented as part of a comprehensive web strategy. There are many analytics tools out there. Google Analytics is used by UMC, UIT, U of U Health, and is widely used across most campus properties.

Select the group that administers your website to learn specifics about your management platform.

Main Campus Websites

  • If you see a “LAST UPDATED” link in the dark gray footer of your site, it’s administered by UIT.
  • No "LAST UPDATED" link? It might be a UMC site.

University Information Technology - Modern Campus CMS (formerly Omni CMS)

UIT implements a unique Google Analytics profile for every site we manage. The data from your profile is then fed into an Modern Campus CMS Google Analytics gadget that provides helpful summary information about your website in the dashboard as well as on each page. This makes it easy to discover statistics about your site without leaving Modern Campus CMS.
