September 2026 Webmasters Forum: AI Updates and Community Discussion

This month's University Webmasters Forum will feature an update on AI initiatives at the University of Utah, followed by some community updates and a discussion about the future of our Community of Practice.
We're excited to welcome Caprice Post, Director of Artificial Intelligence and AI Technology Services in UIT, who will share updates on current AI initiatives, upcoming changes, and what campus web and digital teams should know about the university's evolving AI landscape.
We'll also provide a few brief community updates, including accessibility compliance efforts and font licensing.
The last portion of the forum will be dedicated to gathering feedback from the campus web community. Over the past several years, the Community of Practice has focused on accessibility (a lot of accessibility), training, knowledge sharing, and connecting web professionals across campus. We'd like to hear what's been most helpful and what challenges you're facing as we plan future forums.
We'll discuss:
- What's working well?
- What challenges are web teams facing today?
- What topics would you like to see covered in future forums?
- What accessibility-related support would be most valuable going forward?
- How can we better support the campus web community?
To help guide the discussion, please take a few minutes to complete our feedback survey before the meeting. We'll share highlights from the responses during the forum.
